Are you ready to become better friends with yourself and shower yourself with love? Here are 35 self-love journal questions that will help you cherish every part of you: your thoughts, your body, and your feelings.
Loving Yourself Unconditionally
You deserve to love yourself no matter what.
But saying that was tough for me. I didn't feel like I deserved good things. The first time I tried to say, “I deserve joy,” my inner mean voice said:
“Who do you think you are? You don’t deserve joy! You’re too selfish! What have you done to deserve anything? Stop thinking about yourself all the time!”
Ouch. It hurt. But I didn’t give up. I changed how I looked at things:
I believe my friends and family deserve joy and love, right? Absolutely.
And even strangers deserve happiness. Then I realized—I was being too harsh on myself.
With this new way of thinking, I started talking kindly to myself, knowing that I deserved every good thing.
That question the mean voice asked?
“What have you done to deserve anything?”
Well, nothing really. And yet, everything. I learned that I don’t need to do anything special to deserve love, joy, or good things. Just being me makes me worthy.
And it’s the same for you. You’re worthy of loving yourself just because you exist. You don’t have to prove anything—you’re enough just by being you.
You are worthy.
You are deserving.
And you’re more than enough—just by being yourself.
Using the Journal Questions
These questions will help you celebrate everything that makes you special. They’ll help you make time for loving yourself and finding new ways to feel even more love.
There aren’t strict rules here! You can answer them one by one or choose the ones that feel most important to you.
Try setting aside 15 to 30 minutes for writing. Find a quiet place, be honest with yourself, and don’t judge what you write. Always be kind to yourself.
Remember:
Loving yourself isn’t about being perfect. It’s about loving your imperfections perfectly.
